New local voices, ready for your shelves

Crklyn Publishing is a free program of The Welcome PDX, a Portland nonprofit. Women in the program are guided from a first draft all the way to a finished, published book — and every title is written by a woman building the next chapter of her life.

We'd love to work with independent bookstores and libraries: to carry our authors' books, to host readings and signings, and to help new writers find their first readers. With the exception of our anthologies, 100% of the revenue from book sales goes directly to the author.

Ways to work together

Carry our titles

Stock books by Portland women on your shelves — including our anthologies, poetry, short fiction, and novels as each one publishes.

Host a reading or signing

Our authors love to read their work aloud. Book launches, readings, signings, and conversations make warm, community-centered events.

Feature local voices

A local-author display or staff pick gives new writers their first real shelf — and your customers a story rooted in their own city.

Libraries

Add our titles to your collection, or host an author talk, a reading, or a writing workshop for your community.

Ordering

We expect most of our titles to be available through Ingram, so you can order them the way you order other books. Tell us which titles you're interested in, and we'll share ISBNs and ordering details for each one.

Our authors live in the Portland area, and we'd love to talk about hosting an event with you.
